Riding the bus in from the Hamptons I was awe-struck by the beautiful architecture of the city and everything that was going on. It's so alive and quick-paced. It's exactly what I need right now. The Kuchinad's loft is gorgeous. They own the roof of their building so it's fun to go and look out over the Hudson River. Sometimes I sit on the fire-escape outside my window and read. It's magical here. I explored the shops on Broadway and some of the shops on Greenwhich, and it's such a perfect place to live. My schedule's a little random right now because Charlotte and Lucas don't start school until next week, but I usually work 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a two-hour break somewhere in there. But it honestly doesn't feel like work because these kids are so fun to be with and I love everything about it so far. Today there's a Young Single Adult event held near Central Park. I'm excited to go and meet some of my new ward members along with other New York LDS Single Adults. There are classes and a dinner and a dance and tomorrow is a multi-singles-ward sacrament meeting. I think it will be a great way to start out and meet people. Although I do miss everyone back there in UT, I wouldn't trade this for the world. Love you all and hope you feel free to ask me any questions or anything. xoxo.
Oh, and this is the view of the skyline across the Hudson from our apartment-

Hannah! This is all so perfect for you. So, so perfect. The timing, the place, the family, everything. Couldn't be more happy for you and and so jealous of your grand adventure. Love the blog!
I am so jealous Hannah! I wish I was reading out on a fire escape right now! It is so fabulous to get to live, really live life while you are young. We all have to grow up way too fast. Have fun! Great job on the blog!

Hannah,
I am going to nanny in Manhattan as well, and I'm also LDS! I just googled LDS singles wards in The Hamptons and your blog came up, which is really random, but maybe like meant to be! I am coming out in about two weeks and would love to get in touch with you! I know this is super random, but I don't know anyone and would love to come to church/activities with you! If you aren't super creeped out by this you should email me at lexilars@gmail.com and you can check out my blog, it's lexilarsen.wordpress.com or even add me on Facebook! Lexi Larsen :) I'll be nannying in Manhattan but my family has a weekend home in the Hamptons! I would love to ask you questions and gets tips and stuff!
